More than Meals

Posted at 08 Jul 2021

Campbelltown Meals on Wheels has been delivering meals to the Aged and younger people with a disability in our community of Campbelltown for over 49 years. The service is extremely valuable to those living by themselves and provides nutritious meals which enables them to remain in their own homes for longer.

The Volunteers who deliver their meals are still active and operating under strict covid safety measures. These amazing volunteers offer welfare checks on clients easing the burden on families especially during times like this where many are separated from their loved ones. Over the past few months there has been a steep increase in demand for meals with current outputs at over 1,500 meals a week and growing.

Wests are so proud to have just completed the purchase of extra Eskys, Icepacks and Tiny Tag temperature gauges to meet the growing demand to the value of $4,800. Before lockdown ( and the wearing of masks was mandatory) we popped out to give them a test run.
